John Wilde has made an excellent job of cleaning our large oak frame. It was extremely dirty, and attempts by our builder at cleaning with oxalic acid alone had not been successful, leaving us with unattractive grey/black beams. It was a daunting task, but John and his team achieved the impossible with a combination of wire brushing, sanding and acid treatment to leave us with the beautiful light oak finish that we wanted. He has a professional approach and works well with all the other trades on the building site. He is also very knowledgeable about decorating, and he applied a clear wax oil which has brought out the natural oak colours. Everyone who sees the finished effect says "Wow!!"
